1. Hello, Good day, nice to meet you. Could you tell us about yourself?

Hi. Nice to meet you along with the Qitmeer community. My name is Andrei Tara I’m the founder and CEO of Openfabric AI. I am an entrepreneur, polymath and researcher deeply dedicated to exploring novel paradigms that have the potential to enhance the human condition through emergent technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Quantum Computing.

2. Could you tell us about Openfabric AI and what bore the vision to create Openfabric AI.

The journey of Openfabric AI started in 2019, evolving from a research project, into a dynamic initiative that has gained the attention of developers and keen players in the AI & Web2–3 industry. In essence, Openfabric AI stands as a testament to our commitment to driving innovation beyond conventional boundaries. By embracing the fusion of these transformative technologies, we strive to empower societies with AI solutions that transcend current limitations and propel us into a future defined by progress and innovation. So, basically that was what bore vision to create Openfabric AI — the research project.

3. How is your team at openfabric AI like?

The team at Openfabric AI is made up of a vibrant and diverse group of people who all have a similar passion for pushing the limits of technology. Our team encourages an environment of creativity and collaboration because it is made up of professionals from many domains, including AI, blockchain, and quantum computing. We collaborate in order to develop a skill synergy that propels the development of disruptive technologies and their practical applications. We have a strong commitment to investigating unique solutions.

4. There have been some stiff challenges against AI. With the notion of AI Coming to take people’s jobs, what do you think about that?

AI is super intelligent; there’s no doubt about it. But does that mean it’s here to replace us all? Not quite. In light of the challenges posed by the role of AI, particularly concerns about job displacement, it’s essential to examine this issue from a nuanced perspective. An apt analogy for AI is that of an exceptionally adept assistant. It holds the potential to significantly alleviate us from repetitive responsibilities, such as administrative tasks. By envisioning an environment where AI takes on the burden of paperwork and routine operations, we are afforded more opportunities to channel our energy toward fostering creativity and engaging in endeavors that demand the uniquely human touch. Yet, the fundamental insight lies in recognizing AI’s inherent limitations. It remains void of emotional awareness, incapable of generating novel concepts, and cannot convey authentic emotions through a warm and personable demeanor. It is imperative to acknowledge that AI’s intent is not to displace these roles but rather to collaboratively assist us in handling more standardized functions, even creating more jobs in some companies.

So, should we be worried about AI taking over our jobs? No, not really. It will indeed take jobs but not everyone. It’s crucial to maintain a perspective that values the distinctive skills and attributes that are beyond AI’s grasp.

5. Do you think there is a need to regulate AI?

I guess you’ve hit on a vital topic — regulating AI. Imagine AI as this super-smart tool that can do all sorts of things, from suggesting drugs to prevent diseases to helping doctors analyze medical scans. It’s like having super helpful tools to tackle some of the world’s pressing issues.

AI needs to be regulated but it’s crucial to ensure that access is not restricted solely to tech giants. As a response to the rigidity of centralized AI environments controlled by big corporations, several projects have begun using blockchain as a foundation for new AI services. These new models follow the principles of decentralized autonomous organizations, and empower communities to unite and contribute to a swarm-like ecosystem. Now, another scenario would be the invention of fire. Fire is one of the most important forces in our world today. It has played an important role throughout all of human history. Just like any fire, it either serves you right or wrong depending on how you used it. Similarly, let everyone have access to artificial intelligence. That is why at Openfabric AI, we are dedicated to democrating AI. Thus, give power to the people.

We wrote an entire blog post on this topic, I think you should check it out to learn more about our view on regulating AI.

6. You are creating a decentralized AI network, how do you intend to solve the issue of computing power?

At Openfabric AI, we acknowledge that the demand for computing power in AI applications has experienced exponential growth. Our decentralized network presents a promising solution in this regard. Our protocol is uniquely designed to empower individuals and companies worldwide to offer their computing resources for rent. This approach allows us to cultivate an extensive and widely dispersed reservoir of accessible computational assets. By leveraging the combined potential of these contributors from around the world, the network obtains the necessary computing power required to effectively tackle the challenges presented by AI operations and training.
