AIGC’s Dilemma

💁‍♂️In the past year, AIGC (AI-Generated Content) technology has made great progress, giving ordinary people the opportunity to showcase their creativity and create works that are comparable to those of professionals. The popularity of this technology has greatly lowered the threshold for creation, allowing more people to participate in the creative process.

However, with the rise of the trend of universal AI drawing, some artists have begun to express concerns about factors such as creative copyright, which has created a certain opposition between them and AI technology.

Industry giants such as Stable Diffusion and Midjourney often face collective resistance from artists:

AIGC models such as Stable Diffusion and Midjourney need to use a large number of work data sets when training. These data sets contain unique styles of paintings that have been explored by various artists for decades. However, it only takes a few seconds for the AI to create similar works in the style of these artists, prompting resistance from artists who believe the works are copyright infringement.

Artists believe that AI only generates works through simple collage and is not a true artistic creation. They worry that with the application of AI technology, the art market will become chaotic.

To make matters worse, since the person who uses the AIGC system to generate images owns the copyright and ownership of the generated images, some unique-style paintings can no longer only be created by famous artists, but can be easily created by anyone through the AIGC system. This may have a negative impact on the future livelihood of artists as they are unable to obtain copyright and profits from such works created without permission, thereby threatening their careers and financial well-being.

AIGC and creators

Let’s take a look at the creation process of a normal work, taking traditional creation as an example. The general process is as follows:

In such a creative process, we must first determine the theme, focus on the theme, determine the creative form, and look for inspiration. Then, in order to ensure the authenticity and accuracy of the article content, collect materials and query information. Start creating after being fully prepared, and then optimize and polish the content according to the first draft.

🧚‍♀️In the new era of the rise of AIGC, the traditional creative process has been subverted. The traditional and cumbersome creative processes such as data collection, data query, and review will be fully handed over to AIGC, which means that the entire creative process will be transformed into a “creative-AI” Paradigm shift.

Therefore, the future creation method will fundamentally present a model of two subjects: creators and AIGC (artificial intelligence generated content). Creators provide ideas and ideas, and AIGC turns those ideas into actual content.

However, there is a third subject behind this, namely the individuals or institutions that provide data to AIGC, including individual artists. After all, without the contributions of these artists, AIGC would not have been able to develop as quickly as it did. Furthermore, AIGC uses the “entrepreneurial copyright” of artists and relies on huge data provided by third-party organizations, this is an important factor in AIGC’s sustainable development. Therefore, artists and data providers should receive appropriate benefits.

AIGC’s business model

Now, we have found the three principal part to AIGC creation . They are: creator, AIGC platform, and artist (including the third party providing data, which will be replaced by artist later). Among them, the artist’s results are the object of AIGC’s learning, and the artist’s creativity is crucial. Creativity itself is more valuable than the paintings generated by AIGC, and is the key to building the AIGC business model. Therefore, how to quantify and price “creativity” has become the key to building the AIGC business model.💎

Previously, relevant institutional experts have already proposed — —

【 By calculating the painting area and intensity affected by keywords in the input text, we can quantify the contribution of each keyword. Then, based on the ratio of the one-time generation fee and the artist’s contribution, the value generated by the creator can be obtained. Finally, it is divided proportionally with the platform, which is the income theoretically generated by the creator’s contribution to creativity. 】

Taking Qitmeer’s AIGC product DimAI creation as an example, assume that there are 10,000 works on the DimAI platform within a week, of which 3,000 works involve the artist’s keywords. Calculated based on the average contribution of each painting being 0.3, the cost of each AIGC painting on the DimAI platform is 60 DIM, then the artist’s income on the DimAI platform is:

10,000 *60 *0.3 DIM=180,000 DIM

Under this commercial creation model, artists can add the content of their own works to the training set library, thus opening up new revenue channels. They can continue to create more work to join in building AI data sets and gain more benefits.

This method provides artists with a new way to earn income, while also providing an open call for style libraries from artists around the world. In a context where “infringement” is so common in the global market, this “genuinely authorized” gallery will definitely receive support from the artist community. This model is more similar to a forward cycle and more benign.

Web3 and AIGC

The “creator economy” emphasized by Web3 coincides with the goals of AIGC. With the help of blockchain technology, we can build an ecological network system around AIGC. Through the empowerment of AIGC and the economic model of Web3, creators can exponentially amplify their creativity and influence, achieving the transformation from consumers to participants, and from users to owners.

⚡️At the same time, artists get their fair share of the revenue, creating a win-win situation. This ecological network can provide more opportunities and platforms for creators, allowing them to better showcase their talents and creativity. Through blockchain technology, creators can gain more control and transparency, thereby better protecting their rights and interests.

Taking the DimAI platform as an example, as a creator, you can choose to pay and start creating on the DimAI platform. DimAI can generate artworks with different styles through algorithms and save those meaningful and valuable works in the form of NFT. Every piece generated is unique, and there are endless possibilities for the type of content created on the platform.

If artists can adjust and deploy their own artistic styles on DimAI in advance and store them on Qitmeer Network, it will create a new NFT creation model. When creators pay DIM through DimAI to generate a series of works, they can choose the style of the corresponding artist and directly create works of art in the corresponding style. The pieces are actually a combination of the original artist’s style, DimAI, and the creator’s varying casting timings.

This model organically combines tools, artists and buyers, giving artworks more commemorative value. Unlike purchasing mainstream NFT items, this method of painting creation and NFT trading is more like directly supporting the artist. Through this model, artists can not only earn profits when creators use their style to create, but also when creators use the artist’s style to produce NFTs or conduct NFT transactions, artists can also charge a certain fee and earn profits again. This model also perfectly addresses the situation where artists are pitted against AIGC due to its development.

In the future, DimAI will further develop and not only integrate the NFT trading platform, but also introduce a bounty task publishing function. In this way, a completely open economic system for AI creators will be built to meet the diverse creative needs of project parties. If the project needs to include creative ideas such as NFT, music, game characters, virtual characters, etc., the project owner can directly publish the bounty task on the platform and then directly link it with the creator community to meet personalized creative needs. This will provide creators with more opportunities to showcase their talents and provide project parties with the possibility of more creative choices.

A new development

The vastness of the AI economy is not limited to the creative field. The impact of the AI economy will also extend to human beings’ daily necessities, food, housing, transportation and even work. To this end, DimAI’s thinking is not limited to the current situation, but also has further goals. It hopes to build a new business model that combines AIGC (AI generated content) and WEB3 (decentralized network) and introduces new incentive mechanisms to create a decentralized AI network system that is co-constructed and shared.

In the future DimAI network, users can participate in decentralized AI training by sharing data and computing power. This mechanism can not only accelerate model optimization, but also easily handle the training of large models. At the same time, users can also obtain corresponding benefits. Under this paradigm, the development of AI is no longer limited to some industry giants, but is closely related to everyone. As more and more people participate, the relationship between humans and AI and the speed of AI development in the future will be greatly improved.

Therefore, DimAI decided to open up a new “broad road” for the development of AI, further promote the development of AI, and combine AI with blockchain technology Web3 to create a complete business closed loop. Through this move, we have reason to believe that AI will go further and existing flaws will gradually be repaired and improved. At the same time, DimAI will continue to explore and innovate to find broader development directions.🔐💼
